The handoff problem
“Is this the latest version?” shouldn’t be a daily question.
Most teams ship designs through a tangle of Figma comments, screenshots in Slack, and ad-hoc Loom walkthroughs. Engineers can’t tell what’s current. Reviewers can’t track what they signed off on. PMs can’t audit anything. vrdiff replaces all of that with a single source of truth — versioned, inspectable, and discussable.
Built for handoff
Versioning
Publish from Figma or upload anything else — every push becomes a versioned screen with a commit message, an author, and a permalink your whole team can read.
Learn moreInspector
Click any layer to read its resolved CSS and the closest Tailwind classes, and export design tokens as Style Dictionary JSON. Engineers ship straight from the browser.
Learn moreVisual Diff
Compare any two versions side-by-side or as an opacity overlay. We highlight every changed property — grouped by layer, color-coded, ready to scope a PR.
Learn moreFlows
Map the real journey on a freeform canvas. Drop screens, decisions, and notes; connect them with labeled arrows; and keep the flow alive as your designs evolve.
Learn morePrototypes
Draw hotspots on any screen, link them to other screens, mark an entry, and click through your design like the real app — for Figma and uploaded images alike.

Learn moreHow vrdiff works
From design file to shipped feature, in three steps.
Bring screens in
Publish from Figma with the vrdiff plugin, or upload an image directly from the project dashboard. Either way, a versioned component is created with a commit message.
Inspect & discuss
Engineers read CSS / Tailwind, browse the layer tree, and export design tokens. Anyone can drop pinned comments on the canvas and reply in threads.
Review & ship
Request reviews on a specific version, track each reviewer's status, and diff two versions to confirm exactly what changed before shipping.
Built for the whole product team
Designers ship. Engineers read. Reviewers approve.
Designers
Publish straight from Figma, or upload anything else. Get structured feedback pinned to your work — no more screenshot threads in Slack.
Engineers
Read pixel-accurate CSS and Tailwind in the browser, diff two versions to scope a change, and pull design tokens as Style Dictionary JSON.
Reviewers & PMs
Run formal reviews with status labels, see the full version history per component, and audit every change in the workspace activity log.

FAQ
Questions teams ask before they sign up.
If you don’t see your question here, the full documentation covers everything in detail.
How is vrdiff different from Figma comments?
Figma comments live inside the file and disappear when the design moves on. vrdiff keeps a versioned record of every screen, with threaded comments pinned to exact canvas coordinates that travel with the version they were left on. Engineers, reviewers, and PMs can read, inspect, and approve without a Figma seat.
Do my designs have to live in Figma?
No. The Figma plugin is the fastest path in, but you can also drag-and-drop screens manually as PNG, JPEG, WEBP, or GIF. Manual screens get full versioning, comments, reviews, flows, and prototypes — only the structured CSS / Tailwind inspector and design-token export are Figma-specific (they need the design tree).
What about the free plan — is there a catch?
The Free plan applies to your personal workspace and is permanently free, capped at 4 seats and 1 project. Pro is $5.99 per editor per month for unlimited projects — viewers (review and comment) are always free, so you can invite stakeholders without growing the bill. Max is a $100 / month flat enterprise tier. No credit card to start, no hidden trial timers.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Owners can cancel from the workspace billing page; the workspace stays on its current plan until the end of the billing period and reverts to Free afterward. A cancelled subscription can be resumed in one click before that date.
How does the Figma plugin work?
Install the vrdiff plugin from your Figma plugin manager, paste your workspace's plugin secret once, and from then on a single 'Publish to vrdiff' click sends the selected frame's design tree, a preview image, and a commit message into the project of your choice — versioned automatically.
Who can see my projects?
Only people you invite. Workspace owners see every project in the workspace; editors and viewers see only the projects they've been added to. Workspace role decides what each person can do — owners and editors can edit, viewers are read-only on designs but can still leave reviews and comments. Nothing in vrdiff is public unless you explicitly share a link, and we never expose your designs to third parties.
